    Vent Caps

Yes, that’s exactly what my cover looks like and the same colour. I’ll definitely ask the upholstery shop what material it is if I can’t find any manufacturer tags.

    Vent Caps

Thanks Kahuna. I’m wondering if this is what I have - hence no vents. We bought our Bennington used last year and it came with a new cover from the Bennington dealer. I don’t have the cover nearby so I can’t check the brand label. Unfortunately the cover didn’t come with snaps, so I’m taking to...

Perfect! Thank you all for help and the direction I need to take on this upgrade

    Vent Caps

That’s the direction I’m definitely heading . I’m guessing my current poles (the other photo) won’t work. Poles are pretty reasonably priced and it looks like they offer the whole package at some suppliers.

    Vent Caps

I agree and will need to find poles specific for the upgraded vents. I found a couple of images on Google. One is of the poles we have and the second is of what I’d like to upgrade my cover with.

    Vent Caps

I’ll check them out this afternoon. Thanks

    Vent Caps

I don’t have end caps on these poles. Basically the poles are about an inch in diameter and adjustable up/down. The top 3” tapers thinner to pop through the hole and the cover is supported by the steel grommet resting on the wider pole diameter below. Those are in good shape but I’d certainly be...

    Vent Caps

Thanks Jack. I saw the Amazon caps and they looked pretty easy to install. I just wasn’t sure if those skinny little poles would have any kind of support up in the cap top or if jamming something in there would impact the ventilation. Pretty reasonably priced so maybe worth a try

    Vent Caps

Hello all. We have a 2008 2575RL. Our factory mooring/travel cover has a 4 pole support system but it’s the ones with the small reinforced hole and the pole end sticking up through the cover. I’d like to install the large vent caps to get better air movement but wondered if anyone has done that...

Question about Pontoon Winterizing in the North East

Navigloo Boat Shelters make a great product for winter coverage of pontoons. Check them out at Navigloo.com

Prop up or down when parked?

Thanks again to everyone who has weighed in on my question. It’s very much appreciated and I’m sure I’ll spend more time on the forum as I learn about my new world with pontoons. BigKahuna, I have not applied Sharkhide and just looked it up after seeing your post. Never heard of it before. I’ll...

Prop up or down when parked?

Thanks Fire Up. You’re like me - need to keep things shiny and clean. I do my own power polishing but will need to expand my kit to include a cloth wheel and other stuff for the aluminum toons. We’re up in Canada on a typical prairie lake. Not 100% sure what’s in the water chemistry but it...

Prop up or down when parked?

Thanks Jack, I appreciate you weighing in on this. In a perfect world I’d have a lift, but the slips are too narrow. Pressure wash, scrub and polish it is! At least one prop and part of the second will be clean

Prop up or down when parked?

Thanks for the reply BigKahuna. We’ve had the pontoon for just one week and we’re very happy so far. Big change from the wakeboat for sure. Based on our other boat and looking at every other boat and pontoon in the marina, it’s not only a ring but the entire surface of anything under the water...

Prop up or down when parked?

Hello everyone. We’re new to the Bennington and pontoon world after recently selling our wakeboat. We have the Mercruiser 5.7 I/O with the dual counter rotating props. The boat is left in a marina for the summer season and I’m wondering if I should be trimming up the leg at the end of the day or...
