I added a wet sounds powered sub, and a kicker 4 channel amp, all powered by my single battery. Garmin indicated I only lost .1 volt after running stereo for a few hours. I'd say your friend either has a bad battery, or bad/incorrect wiring.

Good info, thanks for that. Reinforces the conclusion I came to. Found the kit on sale from Overton's for $1400. I asked the dealer by me if there was a retrofit kit, and they said the factory poo-pooed that idea, but will gladly tack it onto a new order for $3200.00 Looks like snaking...

Thinking about the sureshade as well. Question- do you think I would be able to retrofit my existing frame, so I can still have the LED lights that are currently installed, or is it just much easier to use their frame?

Known problem. What was happening, at least to me, is that if you look in the filler hole, you will see the return vent on the bottom part way to where the inner hose attaches. if the nozzle is not inserted deep into the hole, gas will enter the vent line, preventing air from coming up, and...
