I picked black because the boat is. When you pull it and it dries it is almost the same color as aluminum grey.When wet it is black.

I am in brackish water and had mine painted with Sea Hawk bottom paint. One coat primer and one coat bottom paint. Painted in 2022 and is in the water three months at a time. I then pull and clean and return. No barnacles just algae in that time frame.

The reason for my question is zinc should be used for saltwater and aluminum is used for brackish water. I boat in brackish water an aluminum should be used. I have factory installed anodes and I do not know what was installed.

On the Bennington S saltwater series can anyone tell me if the anodes are zinc or aluminum?

I put a small piece of soft hose over the metal latch, This stopped the rattle.

I did not have the screws pull out. Open your Sun Pad and remove one hinge at a time, repair one hinge, then do the other.

You can refill the screw holes with epoxy. Then drill and replace screws. On Mine I installed a small u clip at the front of the sun pad and attached a pull down rope. This allows you to raise it in a controlled way.

I think it is 22 gallons with 21 usable. The fuel gage could be off as much as 1/4 tank.
