Inspection hatch

Does the gas tank inspection hatch unscrew or does it pry up to open?

Picture? Typically if they have indentations in the round cover, it's to allow a finger grip to unscrew it. If you're unsure just look up the manufacturer online if it's stamped somewhere on the hatch.

Yes it has the indentations, but it is very tight. I guess it screws down, I will try tapping it with a wooden block.

Mine is a square compression fit panel so it probably depends on the boat model, options and build year.
