We have a 24 SSRX with twin toons, 90 Yamaha, and have tried out 3 props, 13.75x15, 23 mph at 5100 rpm WOT, 14x11, 22 mph at 6100 WOT and a 14x13, 22.9 mph at 5800 WOt...
Just some info..Just went thru this with my 24 ssrx twin toons with a 90 Yamaha...trying to get anything more out of it on the top end. My results with 3 props where
Solas 14x11 22 mph 6100 rpm WOT
Turning Point 14X13 21.9 mph 5800 rpm WOT
Turning Point 13.75X15 23 mph 5100 rpm WOT
So installed the turning point 13x14 prop WOT is 5800-5900 speed a little slower at 22.... So prob will stick with this one as it seems she should be good with a group of people...My question is it better for the motor and economy wise to cruise with this prop at 5100 rpm and doing 19 mph or am...
lol, i have to keep the furniture as the wife likes that. So am I better off with the 15 pitch or should I get a 13 pitch in between the 2. i hate to think that the 15 is lugging the motor at 5100 rpm at WOT.
"As per the sales brochure our pontoon has the 25" toons 2014 24' SSRX so no upgrade there. I know this boat motor combo is underpowered so just trying to get the max out of the setup we have. If I could get to 24-25 mph I would be more than happy
