2022 sx23 Yamaha 200 speed

Just upgraded with a new to us 2022 sx23 with a 200 yamaha with a reliance 14 1/2 x 15 prop. Best i can seem to get is 33 with 2 people and bimini down.. it has the sps tri-toon option and toons are pretty clean. It seems to pop right up on plane but dosent have a high top end. RPM max is 5700, This seems kinda slow, anyone have any thoughts?

Your performance seems a little light to me. I would have expected approximately 39 to 43 depending on conditions. I have a 22’SXSB Tritoon with Yamaha 150 SHO and Ultra Legs (Sea Legs) and get 36 to 39MPH depending on conditions. My Tritoon is slightly shorter but probably as much or more weight given Sea Legs. Dealer informed me that I would pickup roughly 4 or 5 MPH with the 200 over the 150.
Your RPM might be a little low.

You need a different prop. On a light load in good conditions with your setup, you should be 40-3 mph WOT in ideal light load conditions. You will be 200-300 rpms higher too. There are a couple props that are more ideal, including for top end performance. Enertia. SWSII. One of those. Probably in a 15 or 16p. IF you follow up with Ken at Propgods, he’ll get you dialed right in fast.
