I am also a big fan of evening outings: I found these 12v USB LED lights that plug direct into any charging spot on my Benny, clip them down the center of the Bimini for evening meals, and store in a plastic ammo box - 5 minutes to setup and take down!
This is what AI produced for me...... (Version 2) but I think a V Shaped snow plow with a heavy duty bottom edge rail, then vertical bars for strength while letting water pass through could work - AND it would be a great alternative to the sand bags to level out the Benny!!!! A two-fer!
We clipped a small inverter to one of our batteries (the other ran the boat) and ran LED lights plus a few blow ups with no issues. The "screen" led's did a good job of covering the Benny with minimal work, the blow ups were fun - used water fill bags to hold down on the boat, the tarp mounted...
Here is what I did for the two cushions on my boat that don't have hinges and just pop on & off - for when I am transporting. You can see the U bracket I installed on the starboard I used for my Norco Charger. The second is bolted to the aluminum frame. Then, as I can be absent-minded, I put...
There are very few actual lake front houses at Havasu, and most of those are manufactured homes on leased tribal land. We now have 3 major docks that seem to accommodate most boaters, plus the various hotels have private docks. Half the lake is California Side, the other is Arizona. Probably a...
Yes, prior to lowering the Transducer 15-20 was my max. Now I can hit 30+, 45 in the attached picture! I found a more recent picture of my Benny, seems I lowered it further than the prior picture - mounting the plate as low as possible with the transducer well below the mount plate.
I solved my similar transducer problem my moving the unit to the bottom of the mount (original is my Benny, lowered is another Benny).
When you can, please post pictures on that new ladder setup!!!
For weekend or anticipated daily use, I only turn the master helm switch off. When not using for several days, I turn the master switch off (had the bilge switch rewired direct as monsoons hit and flood my center toon). I don't find that rear cushion hard to pop off/on, but I often forget to...
I have seen pole options that appear to work great when stationary, but if you are looking for something to use while on the go, then you will need the full system and if your speedy, with the added Cable Stays.
My 2021 26LX ESP 1.25 Merc 350 (8cyl?) - Top speed 48mph with 1/2 tank, double bimini up, headed down-wind/stream - my boat is loaded with equipment. See the List Your Specs Here post.
Hello Minnesota - did you ever get your design built, installed and tested? I searched your posts and could not find any update. Particularly interested in pictures related to the structure. Thank you!!
