Years ago, it happened on my old boat. Before taking it apart, I thought I’d first try some WD40. For two or three days I shot WD40 into the switch and it started working and I never had a problem after that.
I assume it was just dirty/corroded contacts.
I’ve found clips on ebay but they are $14.95 each. I can’t believe they would cost that much for a small piece of plastic. My GF sews canvas for covers, biminis, etc. so she will be making our seat covers. I would rather have quick clips along the rails but at 15 bucks apiece, I’ll install snaps.
Were you able to find somewhere to buy quick clips? I’ve been searching online and haven’t found any. We have the mooring cover but now want to make individual seat covers using the clips wherever possible.
My 200 Yamaha on a 23’ WA blew up last year. Bought a new 20’ Benny with a 90 Yamaha from Short’s in September. As was stated, the motor/prop is the only problem with any sand bars – not the toons.
