Maybe but I fish walleyes in huge wind with a $50 anchor In my other boat and have no issues holding or dislodging the anchor. Guess it's just people priorities, to each their own what the want to spend their money on.

Maybe it's just me but you can buy a anchor for a hell of a lot less than $150+ and still do the job just fine. It's a matter of knowing how to set you anchor and how much line to let out when setting it. As well as positioning your boat in the wind when setting.

Exactly what was said above, dealer told us if we intend to travel anywhere w our Benny to stay away from a scissor trailer. Really just for launching, short trips and not very stable.

Our SSX has it installed and is nice and out of the way and like you I think I will use it more for cover poles, etc. Well worth the money for the extra storage.
