I can see the Noco charger leads to the batteries, but what are the second small battery wires connected to? Sounds to me like parasitic draw before the battery switch given new batteries are rapidly draining with the switch off. I believe all electrical loads but the motor tilt are after the...
Very true. We were incredibly lucky by purchasing the SML house in 2019. Homes in our neighborhood are now selling for astronomical prices in the matter of days.
While our main residence is in NC and we've boated many lakes here, when shopping for a lake house we opted for Smith Mountain Lake in VA. We love it and in our opinion it is worth the extra drive. Home ownership has gotten pretty steep there though. It can get busy (especially holiday...
Roswell components vary with layout, at least on the 2020's. The Swingback has 6.5" all around where my Quad Bench has 6.5' interior, but 8" for external aft deck speakers. I don't have speakers on my arch. Came with two amps: 900.6 and 550.2.
Not a bad sounding system (not that I'd know...
I found a two inch piece of plastic laying on the floor of my 2020 23RFBA. Crawled around and found the plastic which secures the upholstery to the [co-pilot] seat frame has self-destructed. The seat has not been abused (we never stand on the seats; wifey who sits there is slender).
Has...
Thanks. I did a search regarding leaks; I was just curious if anyone had input regarding how long their strakes expelled air before stabilizing. It's probably nothing, I'm just antsy because I cannot re-test for a couple weeks :)
Just noticed what sounded like water running under the boat so jumped in to find this:
All my lifting strakes bubble when first submerged, but the starboard strake continued for about 15 mins before I pulled it back out. No visible cracks, excessive water running out when lifted, notable...
We've had Artic Ice White/Met Carbon for about two years and it still looks great. We are very carful though and don't allow spray-on sunscreen. Do get spider spots on it, but some foaming Dawn with a microfiber cloth does the trick.
Looks as if your transducer cable protector may be looping down lower than mine [which is tucked in close]. Wonder if that may be creating turbulence near the transducer, especially given it is larger and corrugated. Hard to tell from the pic.
I have a couple pics in post https://club.benningtonmarine.com/threads/simrad-go-xse-depth-reading-intermittent.10014/page-2#post-144065.
This is with an ESP, if that make a difference. You can see from the side view it is not super low. I wish I'd captured the rear of the toon, but you can...
I typically use very nice Polyform F2 fenders but have some Sentry fenders. In your case I'd probably have the Sentry's strapped to your dock pilings [unless you have dynamic lake levels] as the pilings appear thicker than your bumpers.
Hey BigKahuna, I see your Go5 displays water temp. I customized my Go9 to display that but only get dashes (similar to your fuel level). Did you have to do anything special?
Also, have you tried to reposition you transponder to help with higher speed depth readings? As I mentioned in...
