We have a 07 Bennington 2275RL that we LOVE but unfortunate events with the Tornados that came thru Kentucky has claimed out boat . My question is that our Insurance Agent said for me to get an estimate and send to them to repair the boat ....but being its age no one has anything in there system for replacement parts other than small stuff.....but Im needing parts like 2 new toons, Ski bar, Bimini frame , cover / bimini cover , section of fence, 3 seat cushions, transponder and other smaller parts that are damaged .....anyone had any issues of finding older parts new? We are pretty sure its Total loss but we still have to turn in something ........ and I sure hate this because our boat only has 122 hrs and is in mint condition ...........was :(

thanks

Try ebay , craigslist , and Great Lakes Skipper has some OEM Bennington parts .

Are you able to just "estimate" what those items cost to replace and add them up and turn it in?!? Especially if it's a total loss! For example port side pontoon- $3500. Starboard pontoon-$3500. Ski bar-$500. Mooring cover $2500 and so on......Your insurance agent should be able to help! They have a # where they know if it's going to be a total loss or not! Check out NADA boats to see what the ballpark value of your boat is......

If it's any help...last Fall I was quoted $11,000 to replace my center elliptical toon on my 2017 23RSB. That included material, labor and $2000 freight (ouch!). Thankfully my issue was ultimately covered by warranty.

I finally got a reply from Bennington stating they carry NO parts over 10 years of age .....so would have to use some type of aftermarket or used parts ..... I got an estimate from a Bennington Dealer who was very helpful and did his best using crossover parts to give me an estimate of $19,470 plus labor to repair ....which is almost the value that the insurance company stated it was worth ...... but he also stated it wouldnt look the same as it did before ...... We sure did Love this boat ........

Sorry for your loss. Certainly compounded by the hassle of trying to piece together a claim on an older pontoon. I hope it can get sorted out to your satisfaction.

These guys seem to have a lot parts.

Thank you .... at least our family wasnt hurt or our house but we lost alot of other things 2 barns, garage, 2 vehicles and of course our boat ...but those things can be replaced

This right here is the problem. As a 2015 owner of a pristine QC series, I'm worried about things that could fail in another two to 5 years. We plan on keeping this boat and it would be pretty sad that specialized parts that are only made for it just frankly won't be available. Not interested in just cabbaging it together just to keep it going....
More importantly my sympathies go out to you as victims from these storms. We've been through Hurricanes etc so we know exactly what it's like. Come together as neighbors and communities and help each other out as best you can. Many good people in this country are coming to help you.

I was afraid of the same thing ...when we got the boat with 12 hours on it the previous owner had the battery cables marked wrong and both black so when i hooked them up i fried the ignition wiring and took me forever to get a replacement due to Bennington not making it anymore ...so I pretty much knew this was a blind attempt at parts.

Thank you the thoughts for us .... we lost alot but our house and family was all safe..... many others around wasnt so lucky ... just devastation everywhere ...but like you said everyone is pitching in and helping if you know the people or not ..... We will all be better people after this for sure. thanks again

Seems that the newer parts would work in most instances. I see no reason a dealer could not quote you at least the cost of the parts you need, leaving out the labor cost. I bet a total loss just based on part cost. Insurance claims are about two details: 1) Establishing the cost of repairs is more than replacement 2) Replacement cost. So, ask your dealer to quote the parts (he might do from just pictures), then DO YOUR RESEARCH on the replacement cost to protect the value of the settlement offer. Most sellers would probably even help with giving you extra pictures and the sale price. Then, come back here and ask us what you should buy, we LOVE to spend other peoples money.....

The worst part is the list price on my motor alone on my 2022 QCW was more than my 2013 SLX !
