As title describes i am looking at upgrading my 2011 GCW 2250 ESP 60 gallon fuel cell from a yamaha F150 to an Evinrude G2 E-Tec 250 HO with 20" shaft. Dealers say The three blade stainless Rebel TBX Evinrude series prop is the best for the pontoon but nobody has a good starting point for diameter and pitch. Does anyone here on the forum run this engine on a similar platform and what did you narrow the size to?
TIA!

He’s right with the Rebel as that’s what I ended up with as the RX4 doesn’t hit 15pitch. Are buying an HO or standard 250 as there is a difference especially when sizing. A 250HO on a 22’ boat you’ll be pushing 18-20 pitch. Standard 250 I’d start off with an 18pitch rebel or 17pitch RX4. My buddy runs an 250HO on. 23’ Manitou, I can see what he’s running.

Found this forum thread and yes seems 18 or 19 pitch rebel is where one should be, with my weight based on some of these guys results leads me to think the 18 pitch rebel would be best and i should be right at 50 mph mark.

From talking with the dealer today he said in the 20" shaft engines HO is the only choice no option for non HO in 20" shaft length for 200 - 225- and 250's.

I’d only buy an HO as I didn’t the first time!! My buddy is running a 23’ manitou x-plode XT with a 250HO G2 and 19 pitch Rebel. The boat rips but my S series has nicer fit and finish! It was pretty funny when he was complimenting my boat and I actually paid 1/2 of what he did. Oh well!

You probably know this but when I ordered my 2014 2375 Esp with a 250 SHO Yamaha the engine mount was different to lower the height so the 20" shaft would work unless your 150 is a 20" shaft it my not work.

I have a 2017 GPD 25, ESP, 54 gallon fuel tank and Evinrude 300 G2, it came with the 3 blade Rebel/ 18 pitch. Ive been looking into an additional prop and have been asking a lot of people questions.
Are pontoon is 27’ total deck length adn it comes out of the hole very hard and top speed has been 49 mph. In heavier chop it seems to hold very well and not cavitate. We dont pull tubes or skiers right now and dont do a lot of tight bank turning so I can’t say how it is there, but the Rebel does a nice job.
Ive been told I’m pretty much dialed in and shouldn’t expect anything more top end. My dealer put the motor on the last hole so it’s mounted all the way down (would like to here from others with similar set if thats correct)???
The only other prop I’ve inquired on and heard good reports about is the RX4-4 blade. Great for rough water and more aggressive boating. Ive been told I would loose speed on the top end, I’m still inquiring.
Attached is pictures of our ride and prop
