I just bought a 2021 SX21 two weeks ago. 1st Benny. Unfortunately, the ignition switch was pushed into the console and I'm not sure how to access it. It's a Mercury ignition switch. I've seen a few older posts describing different ways to access it. Some said through a speaker hole by the right foot, some say through the main helm access point but this old man won't be fiitting in that space.

Does the cap with on/off/start pop off with a flat head screwdriver? I attempted to pry it off but had too much resistance, so I backed off. Anyone have any diagrams on how it is secured and re-seated? It's still under warranty but I'm down a trailer and don't have a way to get it to the dealer.

Removing speaker sounds like a good idea but I have never done it. I have accessed that area by removing the fence. Bennington did not make that easy but once you do it that side of the console is wide open. I made a modification that made it easy to slide fence rearward once hold down bolts were loosened. Bennington should have done this.
Good luck.

I wonder if the bezel around the switch is threaded and unscrews?
I saw in another thread that someone used a flathead screwdriver to pop it off...but there was too much resistance when we tried and we chickened out. Ultimately we ended up bringing in a mobile mechanic and he removed the gearbox for the access point. We Just transitioned from an relatively reliable older Premier to a Benny. Hopefully this is just a small hick-up.
