2024 College Football Thread

Yes…congratulations to all the Buckeye fans. I am excited to see a BigTen team snag the Championship. With all that’s bothersome these days with big time college football, I must say I LOVED the 12 team playoff. Love it!!!!

On a personal note, hopefully next season will be a better one for my beloved Spartans. Really looking forward to our program getting back on track again.
 
So glad that the title remains within the B1G - congrats to the Buckeyes for climbing through the playoffs and snagging that Natty!

Somebody had to knock Kansas City off of their high horse!!! Philly dominated in all facets!
 
I was chearing on a KC three-peat as I like Mahomes a lot! BUT Philly just hammered them! A total mismatch last night in every phase of the game. We were surprised as we thought it’d be close, with an Eagles advantage. Good for Hurts and Barkley! I really like both of them, so it’s cool seeing them get a Super Bowl and Hurts get the MVP. He was a beast last night!

Great Maryland/Michigan St. game last night! We had a chance at the end! Maybe should have gone to the basket earlier instead of taking that 3! Great shot to win it! Michigan State has always been a thorn in our side! Ha!
 
Yeah, my wife and I went crazy on the buzzer beater. Fun game to watch, but was way too close in that final minute. We got lucky on that shot after coughing up our 8 point lead at the end.

It’s good stuff!

We’ve enjoyed women’s college hoops for a couple decades. Kinda got into it as an offshoot of both MSU men’s hoops, our youngest daughter playing when younger, and a couple good MSU women’s teams a decade or two ago. I probably catch about a 1/3 of MSU’s women’s games a year on TV. Come tournament time, we’ve pretty much watched men’s and women’s hoops. BigTen and NCAA for years.

We did follow Clark her last two years and her rookie season in the WNBA as well. Some really good basketball at the WNBA level. Led to watching a few other WNBA matchups as well. That was new to us last year. Didn’t pay attention to pro-women’s ballers outside of Olympics prior.
 
Have always followed women's college basketball especially Maryland women and of course CC! Followed Dawn Staley back in the day when she went to Virginia! How about that Maryland Men's game on the road against Michigan after losing the buzzer beater against Michigan St!!!
 
Great Basketball games across the country but what about the Big 10 semi finals?!? Both great games! But Michigan St. lost and Maryland lost a heart breaker after taking the lead with 5 seconds to go! Big 10 teams should go far in the Big Dance!
 
Congrats to your Spartans Jeff! Only team from the Big 10 to survive to the Elite 8! Big 10 teams have done well in the tournament! Purdue had a chance and Michigan played a hell of a game until it unravelled!
 
Still rooting for Sparty but tell me that Blue didn't get screwed in the seeding? Beat Badgers both games in the reg season and in the BIG tournament and still got a weaker seed compared to Wisconsin? How's that work?

Biggest choke of them all was Texas Tech tonight vs Florida. Up big with 3minutes left. Went 4-18 in the last 3 minutes and when they missed their 1 and 1 FT BOTH times, that was the curse of death.
 
Spartans fought but Auburn too tough! Great season MSU!
