2024 Rx sport tritoon

I also looked at and in my center toon and it had maybe an inch and a half of water in it. I’m thinking that is normal due to it being open in the back.
Hold our horses here.

Where at in the center pontoon are you seeing this water? Rear transom area? Do you have an in-pontoon center storage compartment and it’s in there? OR did you actually check somehow the sealed compartments of the center pontoon and it is water in there?

This could be important. Rear transom area is normal and drains out. If in in-floor center storage compartment, you need to turn on your bilge pump and pump that out. Should be a switch on the dash for that. IF you have actual water in a sealed center pontoon compartment, that will impact performance and means you have a leak somewhere. It would also start impacting performance. That would need to be taken care of differently.

Hmmm…That pitch seems low for a 350 v10 Verado, but I also have a lighter tirtoon than you (I have a 15p (?) on my 200HP Verardo).

My guess would have been about a 17p maybe an 18p in the Enertia. Dig around in the thread in the forum on Boat Specs. See if you can find a close match with your boat, and what prop they are using vs their performance numbers. Also, maybe give Ken a call at Prog Gods as Jack recommended above before committing to purchasing anything. He’s very dialed in and accurate with recommendations. Many on here have solicited his advice/recommendations. Propgods.com
Okay will do. Thanks again.

I have a suggested prop chart, that Bennington provides to dealers as a" starting point " the suggested prop for yours is 14 1/2 X 18 Enertia .

You can also check with Ken at https://propgods.com/

I cant tell from your pics ,are the plugs in or out ? If they are out put them back in
So you are talking about plugs for the prop? If so the way it sits is the way I received it from the dealer and no plugs where given to me or offered. I will get ahold of Ken at propgods for sure. Thank you for your recommendation.

That’s great info. Thank you sir. Much appreciated. I’m sure I need to factor in # of persons on board and weight, full capacity and personal belongings but you all have been a great help.

Ask your dealer for the plugs . Usually the only boats that remove them is a Bass Boat for hole shots .

Thank you sir. Found a Mercury Enteria 15.3”x 14p is what the site recommends for best top speed and performance. Sound about right to you?
Sounds good to me! Like Jack said check with Ken at Propgods.com

I'm with Daril (Big Kahuna) on this one - OP your bimini potentially acts like a giant drag chute when running, so your max speed is going to suffer. AND when you trim bow up your bimini is more and more perpendicular to airflow, so if you were at 6 or 7 on the gauge (assuming it is correct) a 5-7 mph loss is not unexpected at all.

Next time go by yourself, keep the bimini stowed and report back WOT GPS speed and RPM.

Your prop also is impacting top speed, as others have noted it's a 4 blade setup for hole shot and pushing a heavier hull. You can try other props to see what the results are, and my guess is you'll be able to gain more top end but lose some hole shot. It all depends what your goals are, different prop designs give different performance.

Lastly here is a performance bulletin for a 25' RX with a Merc 450R outboard - top speed 56. So I highly doubt your 350 can achieve 54, I'd say 50-51.

I saw the water in our center storage area in the center pontoon. Yes there is water in the transom area but when I was unloading ice chest in the storage area that’s where I saw the water.

No hours on the boat when I got it. Also thank you for recommending me to Ken. He is full of knowledge. Come to find out because I have the Verado V10 I can only run a revolution X pro on it due to its gear box.

Also now that I think about it we were in some ruff waters and took a tidal wave over the from bow so I’m sure that the reason for the water in that area of the center toon. Totally forgot about that wave lol. My bad.

Totally agree with everything you are saying. I love the boat and even if 43 is the top speed I’m fine with it. Obviously I was probably looking at a 450 test result rather than a 350. I have come to learn that I can only run a revolution x prop due to the V10 and its gear box. So limited on props but it’s all good. It’s about making great memories with the family and grandchildren. Thanks for the advice and info.

Yeah I guess the gearcase has a slightly larger diameter than the standard ones so you're limited... but also a good problem to have with 350 horses pushing you along!

With some tweaks you should be able to see a little more mph, but keep in mind when other boats are passing you by they don't have the awesomeness of an RX.

Just picked up my new 2025 QSBA with the 400 v10, Just so everyone knows the 350 & 400 v10 only comes with a 4 blade prop that was designed for these v10s. The v10s RPM range is 5800-6400. I have only 3hours so just getting some hours before hammering. Specs 20 pitch revolution, 6080 RPM ( still pulling) 51 MPH, 2 people & 120 lbs worth of dogs, motor in the lowest position. May raise it after more seat time. 22 degrees trim, 23 is max according to Mercury. That's also with the cladded arch, which adds close to 1K pounds to the boat. Your RPMs are too low. try raising the trim, u can't over trim this motor as Mercury has an internal stop at 23 degrees. Good luck & lets us know.
