2025 College Football

I felt good about Indiana tonight. However, I didn’t expect this game to be such a lopsided blowout. Indiana is looking unstable going into the championship. With Miami playing at home, and Indiana looking so dominate, the national championship should be a great game.
Ha! Did you mean unstoppable instead of unstable?!?

If I can pull for U of M or Ohio State in playoff games when they are matched against Non-BigTen teams, then anything is possible Bill. Ignore Cigneti, think of the athletes, think of all those lost decades of football hope in Indiana, think of the lonliness fall brought to that state every season... :p

Teasing…couldn’t resist.

You're right. I still resent Cignetti for pulling a Jimmie Rogers on JMU before it was even referred to as a "Jimmie Rogers".
But truth is, he didn't write the rules, he simply played by them...very well.

There certainly is a lack of loyalty in college football at every level of the system these days. Schools, coaches, players. You name it.

Big money and big opportunities. It’s all focused on that. Winning = money and Money = winning.

Those of you that pay attention to FCS recognize the NDSU/SDSU rivalry.
Switching gears to women's BB, the last time NDSU beat SDSU in Brookings was before NDSU had won their first FCS championship.
Yesterday that miserable streak was broken!
NDSU also ended the Jackrabbits' 67-game Summit League regular season game win streak, which was the longest active in the nation.

Indiana looks good. Some bad missed calls on roughing the passer or helmet to helmet contact on Mendoza. But it is what it is. Go Hoosiers!!!!

What A Game!!! Well deserved National Championship!!!

Agree. The second half was excellent, went to the wire. Nice to see the BigTen capture a third National Title in a row. Especially excited to see a program like IU win won away from all the Blue Bloods of College Football.

A ton of money just to change conference. Wonder why they would do that.

Not just conference. Moving up from FCS to FBS. (like graduating from the kiddie table to the adult table!)

Yes - the double move! And not cheap. 5 million to move up to FBS, and then the other 12 million to join the Mountain West. I feel like some donor emails have probably been sent out… :p

There's been a push...Raised 25+ million since this news broke!!
(on top of a 100+ million athletic endowment)
They'll be OK

First goal is to get the 2 year post season eligibility waived.
Second goal is to take advantage of instant eligibility.

You heard it here first... NDSU will win the Mountain West Conference by 2030!

I hope the move up works out. UMass made the same move years ago and it’s been a disaster. They are the worst team nationally and they’re spending a fortune. I wish they’d drop back down to where they were successful and spend the money on other sports where they’re competitive but the administration won’t admit their mistakes and do the right thing.
