Thanks. Good to know. I wonder if they have a protocol to rerate the boat for higher hp. Newer versions of the same model are 90 or 115hp. Coast guard has their formula but Louisiana Fish and Wildlife has a mind of its own...don't need no stinking Coast Guard!

Not a perfect comparison but if a 22' with F90 can achieve 30mph I would think you should be at least mid-20's.
I too considered a JP both to get skinny in some back coves for fishing but also to optimize my fuel burn on long runs, but due to the warranty issue had second thoughts. There is a member here IIRC that went through an engineering process and added structural bracing to the transom in order to add a JP.
What prop are you using?
