22SV - Twin Elliptical vs SPS Tritoon

I have both the elliptical 32" tubes on a 22' fishing model and a 25'esp I/O . They are totally different boats. We take the 22' to Canada for fishing. Depending on the winds we can get 4' whitecaps. We can have 10 people on the boat for fishing. With the twin tubes if I trim the motor all the way down it will drive trough the waves rather than pounding. It also has 1000 lbs additional flotation so when we put 10 to 12 people on the boat it handles it well. It will pull skiers just fine but pulling a tube does not work well. I love both boats but they are totally different rides. I would not like to have the 25" esp in some of the rough water if have experienced in Canada.

Thanks all for the help! Decided to go with the tritoon with a 200 Yamaha. Now there will be no regrets or second guessing haha.

I think you’ll be thrilled, and certianly have no post-purchase regrets from a useage and ability perspective. I have a 24’ SPS tritoon with a 200HP Mercury Verado Pro. It’s a good fit and does whatever we ask of it from a performance standpoint.
