Hi, my name is David. I just purchased a 2022 Bennington model 23SXSB. It has a 22 Yamaha F200 XCA.

It was a consignment sale. The dealer said that I would be getting a new sun pad in the back. One of the hydraulic lift cylinder mounts was torn loose due to rotting plywood I guess. He also said that new dashboard panels were coming as well as four new speakers.
I’m not familiar with the warranty for a Bennington. How dependable is this information? I intend to follow up with the dealer after a reasonable amount of time.

Overall, I’m very pleased with the boat, although I’ve only had it out twice. I have had a center console 20 foot fishing boat for many years so I’m familiar with being out in the gulf and also into the intercoastal waterway here in the Pensacola area.

The boat was sold with a magic tilt trailer. It has no guides on it to assist in loading the boat. I was told they would be getting some for me and putting them on. I’ll be following up and I hope that these things will be taken care of as of right now. I trust the people I’m dealing with.

I’ve never been associated with a forum and I’m not sure about what I’m doing. I just thought I would post this to get my feet wet and maybe get some feedback on my questions or comments. Thanks for any and all.

The warranty can be transferred to a second owner via a Authorized Bennington dealer. Was the consignment handled through an Authorized Bennington dealer? Do you have any paperwork saying that it was going to be, and a nearby authorized Bennington dealer to check with? Did they say this was all covered warranty work, or were they taking care of the repairs themselves as part of the sale, but separate from warranty claims?

Overall, the warranty is pretty robust. One of the best, if not the best, in the industry. I would take a look at the documents Jack shared above. However, these sorts of detailed questions probably need to be addressed via whomever you bought it from in consignment, or the coordinating authorized Bennington dealer handling the repairs. Hopefully those are one and the same to make it easier for you.

FWIW: I have a 2017 24’ SXBXP SPS tritoon with a 200 HP Mercury Verado Pro. We absolutely love our boat and the layout. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we enjoy ours.

Was the balance of the warranty transferred at an Authorized Bennington dealer ?
Here is a link to the Bennington Warranty Statement .
This is the fine print .
Hi
I received my paperwork for the Bennington. The warranty transfer has not been completed. I was advised that it might be an easier transition after the parts that were ordered/promised to the first owner were delivered. Seems to make sense to me. The people I’m dealing with are very nice and seem to be very upfront and trustworthy.

Thanks for the information and I will proceed and check on things. I did receive all of the transfer paperwork with tags and new expiration stickers. Still waiting on the title, which should be coming in the mail within a week. I trust the guys I’m working with. I’m more curious of how the procedure will work and encouraged to hear. Good things about the warranty and coverage of the product by Bennington. The part that is on order is covered under the warranty and they said that they would install it when it came in. Thanks for your reply!
David
