We are picking up our new SL20 this week, and form what everyone said her I should use the 303 FG I bought a gallon of the 303 Fabric Guard and a pump sprayer for the Bimni and playpen cover. The playpen cover should be easy enough to apply, I'll lay it out and spray it. My question is the Bimni, from what everyone said I should not get this stuff on the vinyl how did everyone apply it to their bimni?

I am having the same delemia. I am thinking of opening the top while the playpen cover is on and covering the playpen cover with visqueen. That should keep the overspray off it.

It's easy to remove the bimini.

Two zippers and a few snaps and the Bimini canopy is off.

You could open the bimini while the mooring cover is on.  Spray the bimini then remover the cover, or leave it on, then spray the mooring cover.  Obviously you would not be able to secure the front legs of the bimini but that should not be an issue.

If you have carpet ,you can do that also .

I do the carpet once a season .

On your recommendation.........Im doing the carpet for the first time ever Jack. I don't know why I never did it......

I did our 2013 ,shorty after it was delivered . The first time at the sand bar I forgot to teabag the anchor .

I am so glad I did the carpet .What a mess on the bow . I reset the anchor jumped in ,splashed water on it , the mud and sand rolled right off .Not one sign that it ever happened .

Carpet? What's that? ;-)

Just ignore him Jack. There's nothing wrong with having carpet on your boat. I have carpet too.  Now I feel bad about my boat.  I hope it doesn't ruin my summer. Maybe I should trade it in. Maybe I should go see Derick or Andy and have them sneeze some PADS on me.

I got your back Dub9.

Pretty sure I can infect you by mail. PM me your postal address. When it arrives, just lick the inside of the envelope!

You're welcome! ;-)

And I will get carpet on # 3 ,( if they offer Crimson Red again  :p )

Although we have a full vinyl floor with the snap in carpet, we haven't removed the carpet once aside form cleaning. It is sure nicer on the feet. I guess for water sports I could always remove the back half of the carpet....

Absolutely love the snap in carpet. It'll be in the next boat for sure. Much easier on the feet and no slipping on wet floors after water sports.

Hahaha! You talk about being infected w/PADS............my wife has been looking pretty hard at boats at our local Benny dealer. Pretty sure she is infected! But a sure fire cure for PADS is looking at the price tags of the Q's they have on display.........A 2016 blacked out version w/a 300 on the back is $129,000.....................Cured!
