Is 5 full spins of the wheel normal from full right to full left. ( Bennington R2550 w/300hp Suzuki)

It depends on the diameter of the steering wheel but typically for a 15" steering wheel and hydraulic steering, 5 turns lock to lock would be normal.

Me too! Got one back in 2019 for tubing. I use it nearly all the time. As nice as it is for water sports, it just makes steering that much easier all the time.
