I just bought a 2021 Bennington 22 LSR, I am not new to the water but I am somewhat new to boats. I have always owned waverunners...how many fenders do I need to purchase for a 22 footer? Also, any feedback on the Taylor Made fenders pictured here. Additionally, what grills do you recommend?
Thanks in advance!
Kevin

Also do you suggest the pontoon rail fender adjuster? I was originally thinking I would need three fenders on each side.

I have a 22'. I have 3 "ready" to go on each side using the Taylor Made fender clips, tied and ready to clip and go.

About Taylor Made fenders..I ordered 6 and 2 were dead on arrival. I contacted them and they made me jump through unnecessary hoops for them to send replacements. These weren't fenders I owned for 2 years and failed, they had leaks out of the box. They made me send a video of the fenders leaking air by submerging it into water and videotaping the bubbles. I had to do this for ones that were DOA, ill say that again. Once they accepted my proof, it took 2.5 weeks to get new ones sent.

Bottom line, too many places to do business with when service like this is so poor. I chose an American company because I wanted to buy American and expected the service, fail. While this was going on I needed a warranty with my pellet grill, RecTeq, and they were amazing. Bottom line is some places know how to treat customers, some dont. TaylorMade will not get my money in the future.

And yes, you want the Fender Adjuster clips.

Buy these...

They are TaylorMade without the price. The are exactly the same as my Taylor Made fender clips, even say Taylor Made on them. Like I said, TaylorMade doesnt get my business..but you want the clips. I measured out the right length, tied them off and wrapped the fender line around the fenders. All I need to do is grab the fenders from the storage and clip on.

Thanks Mozekian, since you did have customer service issues which fenders would you suggest going forward? Thanks for the link to the clips, I just ordered those!

I like the quick clips that are removable and just the regular fenders work for me. I like that I can put everything away when not in use for a clean look as well.

I would suggest at least 4 - 6.5 X 23" round, 2 additional if you plan on rafting together with several boats, then you will have three each side when you become the inside boat. ( I never trust my neighbors fenders) I also use the clips, easy on easy off right position., one inch for square tube for quick attachment. The round ones store easier than the ones you pictured. Here is a link where you can get 4 fenders, their lines and an air pump, all for under $100. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CT6YC8S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
By the way, don't leave your fenders hanging outboard as you are underway, that is a sure sign of newbie boater..........

Welcome to the family Kevin! It's going to be a much different experience for you and the family on the water and one that hopefully you'll enjoy. How about posting some pictures when you have a chance? As for the fenders, I'll leave the advise giving to those folks on this forum that actually use them more than once or twice a year. I've just got two basic white fenders that will do the job in those rare instances that they're needed.
