A great first weekend on the new boat

The noise is spot on for the steering pump. Some seem noisier than others due to the location of the pump on the boat. I'd worry about the weather instead. East coast weather just hasn't given much of a break for boating./monthly_2016_05/large.573a5fb79d061_IMG_0571122035.JPG.74d01fca2a868c74d86988009cecfb35.JPG/monthly_2016_05/large.573a5fc13ba49_IMG_0572122036.JPG.249d5cbe21c888b799ed7885c7595209.JPG

Yikes!!

What kind of bunks are you using on your lift?

The bunks are  3x8 treated wood boards that are 14' in length. Works very well for my boat.

Are they flat?  on a V support?  I have found some V supports that I might add to my lift.

Sorry, I was meaning to say that they were laying flat across the I beams under all three toons. And the beams are at a 12' OC spread. That's what happens when your thinking about the boat while working at your desk.LOL  PS.My boat is a R2550RCW with ESP setup,  just in case you were wondering

great, thanks!!

Many folks with the power assist steering mention hearing a whine. Is your pump under the helm or under the seat just forward of the helm?

I have no clue where the pump is, I'll look for it this weekend.  At least the forecast is in the 70's

Thank you all for the feedback and assurance that the power steering whine is normal, very much appreciated.

No Problem! Send me some tuna. Do you ever bring the big boat up to OC Md.?

I have fished the WMO, but don't think I will this year.  It all depends on where the bite is, I wouldn't mind fishing up there for a weekend this summer.
