A substitute for that long strap on your cover

I didn't like throwing that long strap over my Bimini every time I cover my Bennington. I also heard from other owners that the strap can eventually do damage to the Bimini and it's case that holds the Bimini. To solve this problem, I use two 18 inch bungee cords (see photo). Just my way of doing it.

I loop mine over my light. I had a cover replaced under warranty due to it wearing a hole through it.
