Another Speed/Performance Question

Just following up on this thread that I initiated back in January. As it turned out it was too late to change the order for my 22026 RXSBA ESP from a Merc 300hp V8 to 350hp V10. I've had the boat for a few weeks now. The top speed with 3 people, 90% fuel in the 73gal tank, bimini NOT deployed is 42mph which essentially matches what @dmd posted previously who has the exact boat. So it's as expected and pretty much matches the performance of my previous boat (2018 RSB ESP w/ Merc 250hp inline 6 cyl). Overall I'm happy with the performance. Everybody on board hollers at me when I go over 25mph anyways so top speed is irrelevant, lol.

I am a little surprised that your top speed is not a little higher given my experience with a 22 SXSB tritoon with 150 and UltraLegs (Sea Legs) best sped was 39 in perfect conditions. I know that 2x the HP doesn’t equal 2x speed, but maybe the boat weight is significantly different. Good point regarding getting yelled at going more than 25mph.
