My brother has been dispatched from Chicago to CT, works for the power company here. Convoy of 23 trucks left 2 days ago.
1 piece of advise I will say, if you back feed your home from a genny, make sure you TURN YOUR BREAKERS OFF! (I know, you'd be surprised!) He's told me that genny's from back feeding is a big problem they encounter. Once the power is fixed and the home owners that didn't cut their breakers while back feeding get a firework show to the likes of which they have never seen before.

Thankfully it wasn't as bad here in CT as they thought it would be. The rains up in New York last week where we boat were way worse...the lake (Owasco) rose over 2 feet and the entire lake was a big lost and found for boats, docks, etc. Thankfully I had family there to crank the boat higher, etc. Crazy stuff. Hope everyone else did ok with the storms and hurricane
