Benny On Its Way, After A Long Winter

A Bit late this year due to some heavy rain, but Benny is on it's way from its winter home of Akron. We like Benny to look his Best after a long winter storage. With a cleaning throughout from toons to interior it should be showroom new. I never mind doing the cleaning throughout the season but it is best to have the pros do it in my opinion. I will post some pics to show what the boat looks like before it is placed in the water. Will meet the delivery team at the marina just to give Benny a quick look over.
It's not a new Benny but it is always exciting having the Boat delivered and to start the Boating Season.

Arrived and arrived on time, have to love that.
Boat looks great, once delivered we kept the cover on and drove the boat to our dock. Wasn't able to remove the cover and enjoy a true cruise today but looking forward to this weekend fingers crossed no rain.
I am curious about something and would appreciate some input.....

When I purchased Benny new I bought the trailer without a thought.... delivery personnel parked my trailer on my driveway as always. Then they asked why do you keep a trailer we pick it up and we drop it off. You never seem to use your trailer which I don't. They asked if I ever considered selling it .

I paid 3k for the Shorelander dual axle dual brake at the time their best trailer. It just sits on my driveway till they pick it up again in the fall taking Benny to his winter home.

Is it better to have the trailer and not need it or to sell it and not store it on my large driveway. With the grandkids the driveway is their play space for soccer, basketball and big wheels.

Will I regret selling the trailer ??

Do you ever see yourself trailering to any other lakes? I lean towards the dealership guys on this one, but that’s just me.

Seems like it eats up space, and is just another item to have to worry about/maintain. I’d imagine it provides a certain amount of peace of mind in that you could load and haul it whenever you want. However, if you have literally never used it, then maybe there’s something to be said for selling it.

I own a Jeep Grand Cherokee, could easily tow it but have no need or desire to do so.
Moving it from Lake to lake seems like a great thing to do but in reality for me spending a day on another lake one which I am not familiar with is not enjoyable. It also increases the possibility of damage to boat from transporting from lake to lake (road debris, etc.) and not knowing enough about another lakes terrain is detrimental to the boat. I am leaning towards a sale as well. My biggest concern is if we sold The Benny would it not be easier to sell with the trailer??

I pay $300/year in/out. With storage fees for trailer at $30/month minimum I’m to the positive $$ and no hassle of inspections, registration, maintenance, etc... If I needed a trailer for any reason, my dealer stocks them and I could grab one if needed. Ive gone 8 years now without. Like stated, if you planned on traveling with it, that’s one thing but to use twice a year I’d sell it.
Take the $$$ and grab some new fishing gear!!

Selling a boat without a trailer is really not a problem, New trailers are almost universal and easy to source. A good shape used trailer doesn't sell for much less than a new one. Let it go and enjoy the grandkids.

After 14 years of towing my pontoon and numerous blown tires, replacing wheel bearings, brakes, miscellaneous repairs on the trailer, lights and wiring, state inspections and registration + trailer storage i am really enjoying having a tritoon with no trailer.

I keep mine as it’s come in handy for hauling a lot of other things including the dune buggy, hot tubs, building supplies, swing set and on and on. For me it’s a big utility trailer too since the boat lives on the lift.

I dont use it at all, was concerned what Benny would be stored on
Was told it would be placed on a rack during the winter months
With saying that the Trailer will be placed on The Market Tomorrow
Since I paid 3k and it has extremely little use I will not take less than 2500.00
My wife is saying in the background keep in mind the low ball bid on Benny
Expect 500.00 Bids(lol, lol, lol lol lol )
I will let everyone know how long it takes to sale and how much we get for trailer.
