I recently took delivery of my 2025 Bennington Swingback pontoon....love the boat...love the easy on/easy off fender system called the "Benny" quick latch kit, but I have already broken (2) since I took delivery....it's a great system but easy to break....I am wanting to order some additional kits but can't find a link or order site......any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Unless someone has some on ebay ,the only place you will be able to order them is a Bennington dealer. Except for coolers ,shirts, etc . Bennington does not sell directly to the public.

You're Welcome. Its a slim chance but greatlakesskipper.com does sell some Bennington OEM parts

http://www.ezfender.com/. You and your new boat deserves this David! Well made and I installed these on my last 2 boats!

'Well David,
If you can't find what you're looking for, I might suggest these. They are stainless steel formed clips that spring clamp right onto your square tubing upper rails. As you can see in the pics, I've sewn some webbing to match the length needed for those fenders to sit in a specified height. But, also, you can see adjustable webbing clips in the middle of the webbing, to be able to adjust them if and when needed. So far, in the couple of years we've been using them, no adjustment has ever been necessary. When we approach a dock, the CEO opens a seat, grabs a couple of the fenders with webbing and rail clips already attached. Then, simply pushes them down onto the top rail in strategic spots, DONE!

When we're leaving the dock, she simply pulls up on them and they pop off and the fenders are placed inside the seats and out of sight. Just a suggestion. In one of the pics, you see actual rope attached to one of the fenders and clips. I'd since changed all the connections to webbing because it's easier to work with and adjust for length.

We’ve always like our Tayler Made plastic clips, that work like the Stainless Steel option above. Take them on and off as circumstances warrant. I like the Stainless Steel option for strength and durability, but I have a blackout package. So far, we have only had 1 Tayler Made clip fail in the 9 summers we’ve had our boat.

I’ve got 10 for a boat I just took delivery of and don’t plan on using.

If you are talking about these clips (see attachment) -- are you willing to part with them? If so, how much? I am looking for at least 2, but would like to have 4 more.

Thanks.20260421_131555.jpg

I really like Fire Up's solution but not sure that type of a bracket would work on the QX with the different type of handrail (?), plus, like Vikingstaff I have the blackout package so would want something that matches if possible.

I had ordered the Quick Fender Latch Kit with the boat build but am hesitant to drill into the top rail and install the rivets after seeing some/several complaints online about the plastic clips breaking breaking (like Cogatti mentions above).

Not sure if many others have experienced this or have any suggestions for other options?

Thanks, Jack. Yep I saw those above and they look very functional, but not sure I want something that tall fixed onto the QX rail permanently. Maybe though - just not yet sure.

If possible, I’d prefer something like Fire Up’s suggestion above that looks like it just clamps on and can be removed - but would need to work with the different rail type of the QX (versus an exposed aluminum rail)

Also found this a potential solution - just wish it cam in black to match the rail

hmmm, interesting... I didn't even realize you could take stainless steel and powder coat it. Not sure what type of a local metal shop would take on something this small though (like 4-6 of these).

I like the EZ Fender option above okay (since they have black), but these ones above look more low profile with the loop out which I'd like better I think

There should be a powder coating shop in your area . I live in a small town. We have one .

Hey John,
Scott here. I sent you an answer to your PM on my boat fender clips. Unfortunately, at this time, they are unavailable on Amazon where I purchased them. We do really like them because they're so darn convenient. I'm not all that familiar with newer Benny boats so, when you say the clips I have might not work on your rail, I'd need pics of what you have. I cruised around on the Bennington site but they don't focus too close on hand rails. They're way more about the glamour of the looks of the boat which I guess is ok. If you could provide a close-up pic of your handrail, maybe I could suggest something. Sometimes one finds the absolute correct item they need only it's not where they expect to find it. And by the way, ANY metal can be powder coated. Powder coating is fun. I have a small scale powder coating operation in my shop.
