I've got the "berber" carpet in my 2575 and it gets so dirty that I can't clean it. Does anyone have a good solution? will a rented carpet cleaner get down in the indentions in the carpet ? help

Thanks - I have shore power and water at my slip so I will try this. Thanks! What has worked for me is to wait for a rainy weekend and leave the cover off. The marine carpet absorbs a lot of water. A hose or carpet cleaner does not get the carpet wet enough to clean it well. The next morning after the good rain, I pour a little shampoo and then scrub the carpet with the deck brush. I use the carpet cleaner to suck the water out of the carpet. I do this at the dock with a small generator to power the shampooer. Pour lake water back on the carpet and keep sucking up the dirty water. The first time I did this (a new to me) boat, I found out the carpet was embossed with a really pretty pattern. I do it about every 3 years now.
I have a 2009 18.5 GL purchased in 2010. Our carpet was filthy and this year I purchased a power washer and used it on my rug. I couldn’t believe how nice it worked.
