Anyone ever try to release the rear struts first, when the bimini is up and open, and fold it forward instead of back like normal? Will it even go forward? Just curious if that would get it more out of the way of fishing off the rear deck and for fishing off the side behind the captain's chair where the SSL has a lot of space. Or I could maybe even fish from the captain's chair. I would not drive or store it that way, this would be just a temporary thing. Anyone ever tried to move it forward?

Going from memory I think that is how you take it off. So folding it forward may cause an issue.

Kaydano.........I have released the rear struts first and folded it forward. On my boat it sits right before the helm if laid down.......

My wife and her cousin took the boat out and the same thing happened to them. We ended up face timing so I could point her to getting it back together while I was an hour away.

Glad I asked. From memory, I thought the center pivot point was pinned and you needed tools to remove it. Guess not. Thanks!

Great use for FaceTime too!
