Blue Sky cover - has anyone tried one?

Blue Sky Cover arrived today. So far, I love it. Was able to put on in minutes, I pulled the sides tight and weighed down with water jugs on the dock and used one dock pole to strap to. Looks much nicer than the tarp I was using. We shall see how it holds up to Florida sun, this time of year is when my boat gets the most direct sunlight.

It would be strong enough, the fabric has a good amount of stretch to it.
I added a couple of small tarp clips yesterday. Perfect clipping to the tie down tabs (3 per side). I plan to add a small piece of felt or cushion under the clip for the mid-span. Concerned the rough edges on clip may damage the material.

How long was your "Playpen" measurement from front lip to back rails? Would give me an idea if a large would be large enough for me. Still think it's a winner for what I want....

Exactly 19 ft front rail to back rail, my boat is a 21 ft - the SSX. I wanted the extra material in the front and back so went with the large.

This cover is more of a dust cover - keeps spider poop, bird poop, leaves, etc. off the boat. Material is like a stretchy pair of workout pants. Not a rain cover or trailering cover.

I've been looking at these for awhile now so glad I found this thread on the forum. I have a 22 (24 ft including bow & stern decking) L series and measures 20 feet for the furniture per their website. I'm torn between the XL and large. I'm assuming a large since Kim ordered the large for the 21 foot but any opinions here on whether to go XL or L? Thanks in advance!

I have a 22LX and have the same question. While the XL will surely fit the lg should cover most of the area. Like said above it is a “Dust Cover” it should keep most of the stuff out even sized as a large.

I've got a 25 foot QX. and I'm probably going to go extra-large. I don't want to have to extend straps on all four corners, etc. just to get it to latch properly. I would really like to just have it covered with mostly material to keep the sun off of it.
Any and all who buy one of these and has installed it. Please report back with how you like it and how it fits!

Well I bit the bullet and ordered an extra large today. They must be a hot ticket because they said if you didn't order by today you probably won't receive one until late June at earliest. By ordering today it will arrive late May earliest. Hopefully it's as easy as everyone says it is and stays on fairly well when it's windy. If it works like it's represented, it should be a good happy medium for being covered when the weather isn't rough out.

I have a stainless U hook perfectly mid-way between the front and back cleats on the rub rail. Hoping to put a permanent strap on that hook to catch it mid point and that is all I'll need. Really don't want to start messing with extra "hang on's" etc. Defeats the simplicity that I'm hoping to gain. We'll see!

I also don’t want a lot of extra work, I think a single strap in the middle on each side would work like you mentioned. . Being in a covered slip already I’m just trying to keep some spider poop off the interior.

I spoke with the owner last week. I believe he's up in Canada. He said they should be shipping out in early May assuming you ordered a while ago. I was torn too what size to order as many here are. I have a 22ft Benny and the furniture measurements came in at 18ft (not 20 as I previously posted). According to their website, I should have ordered a medium but went with a large. I hope I'm okay and it's not too large but was hoping to have a little extra room for it to cover a larger part on the pontoon. I have a Floe tilting lift cover so I'm using it to keep the birds and dust off as others have mentioned.

I basically don't want to use straps on the cleats. He prompted me to get an XL. As long as it's tight and doesn't flop in the wind, I'm fairly excited about it. Tired of fighting with the poles and the heavy big cover for most mooring in sunny weather....

I just ordered one a couple weeks ago. Went with an extra large for my 28’ Bennington. Playpen is roughly 21’ end for end. I too plan on using the middle lifting cleat to strap down each side. I’ll report back once I get it…
