The cover for my Bennington L22 does not have a cutout for the forward Bimini top vertical support bar to snap into the bracket on the top rail.

Hard to believe Bennington just overlooked this feature.

Has anyone alerted their cover to accommodate the Bimini fully opened and secured while the cover is in place?

I welcome any comments and ideas.

Thank you

I doubt they overlooked it , It’s probably meant to keep you from letting it open all the time. If you saw the seagull crap on the ones left open on our lake you may rethink your decision to do it.
Black tops turned white!!!

Not to mention the damage during nasty storm with strong winds.

That's a fantastic point that I never thought about before. I would have loved to have been able to keep by bimini top in the deployed position while being able to have my mooring cover on for the past few years because my cover was getting so poor at repelling water and having the carpet soaked. But this makes sense about the storms and wind etc. I suppose its either washing the bird poop off the mooring cover or bimini if you leave it open. At least you can unsnap the bimini and throw it in a washing machine at the laundry mat in town :)

I had cutouts put in by the local canvas shop that my dealer uses. This way I can leave Bimini up to dry out if necessary. I also had a 24" zipper put in the front that makes it a lot easier for me to set my last (front) pole when putting the cover on.

This is interesting. I have the curved power bimini on a 2017 Bennington. My original mooring cover has cut outs with ties and velcro around both my front main bimini arm and a second set for my small rear support arms. I can leave it down, in the radar position (typical), or all the way up with cover on.

However, per what was mentioned by Semper…I would never leave mine up. I have a new cover coming via warranty replacement (mine original one is pulling apart in a few places). I hope its exactly the same as my current one.
