Boat Lift Decision

I am considering a boat lift for my 2024 Bennington L21 Tritoon. The constant boat wakes along with the wind driven waves are making it tough on my docks to hold the boat without the docks getting pulled back and forth including lifting up out of the water with all of the passing boat action this past Sunday. The constant banging into and rubbing on the bumpers is also showing on my boat. My dealer has Shoremaster boat lifts. I don’t want to run electricity down to the docks so I will be looking at other ways to power the lift. I would appreciate those with boat lift experience sharing what I should consider as I make my decision. Thanks.

This is kind of related . I saw 2 lifts yesterday that were on what appeared to me to be Sea Legs .
Perhaps this is not new ,but I have never seen them before .

I don't have experience with a boat lift, but I boondock (Camp with no hookups). I suggest a properly sized/matched lithium battery, Victron Inverter, and solar panel would easily handle this. The biggest challenge might be mounting the panel, but I assume the Boat Lift people could figure out an extra support bracket to make installation easy. The challenge is balancing the total draw of the lift, X use frequency, balanced with Battery Size and then Solar Panel size. It is not rocket science, but does take some detailed calculations. I guesstimate $1,500 for all the hardware, possibly much less pending actual power draw per use and use frequency.

Shore station has a battery option with a solar panel for your scenario.

I have a Floe Tritoon lift that came with solar power. Works great. I would NOT run power down to my docks.

Shorestation will have a battery/Solar Panel/Bracket set up stock for your lift. Shorestation is a good quality lift. It will be a good route to go if you want to do that vs Sea Legs or Ultra Legs, etc….
