The Fortress is an awesome anchor but two for the bow would be overkill in all but the most demanding situations.

Thanks!! I thought so too. Something about cross winds. I'll start with one...and hope to just put her on shore when I can (beach her.)

The USCG class we took (Mn) suggested the "Fortress" brand, danforth type, lightweight anchor. Depth of the water and the bottom type matters too.

Danforth-style anchor is a good all-around choice. I use a Digger as my primary anchor, but a danforth is my secondary anchor. It definitely matters as to what depth and bottom structure as well as the size of boat.
