I have a 2020 Bennington 23SSRXPSG with extended deck and the rear in floor fuel fill. Next to the fuel fill on the tank is a mechanical gauge that in also the tank level sending unit for my Simrad.
The mechanical gauge is plastic that is not clear enough to read the gauge numbers this year. The sending unit part of the gauge works fine. I use this gauge when filling my tank or if I want to check my tank level without removing the cover, turn on the battery switch and wait for the Simrad to startup.
I removed the gauge/sending unit (2 screws and a watertight connector) and took it to the dealer to see about having it replaced by Bennington under warranty. The dealer sent a picture of the gauge/sending unit to Bennington and Bennington responded that they have never installed this type of gauge/sending unit. The unit has the same type Deutsch DT04-2P connector the Bennington frequently uses.
My question to this group, do any of you with the rear in floor fuel fill have the same gauge/sending unit that I have? Pictures are below.
If you have this type of gauge/sending unit in your Bennington, please let me know along with the year of your boat.
Thank you.
The first picture is the gauge/sending unit and fuel fill.
The second picture is the gauge/sending unit. Notice that you cannot read the numbers - 1/4, 1/2, 3/4.
The third picture is a close-up of the gauge/sending unit, but the numbers are nearly illegible.
The forth picture is what a new gauge/sending unit looks like.
