Captain chair base Replacement HELP

If I am not mistaken you can access them from underneath. If you have a Wave shield that would have to be removed. A few years ago someone else was having an issue with theirs . I dont recall the fix. You can search in the upper right corner .

Yeah that sucks, happens all the time. The nut is probably welded to a plate under the carpet but the weld broke, so now it's just spinning. Easiest way is to jam a flathead screwdriver under the base to put pressure on the screw while you drill the head off. Once the base is out of the way, you can peel back the carpet and hold the nut with pliers to spin the bolt out.

Probably nutted from the underside of the deck, from what I could see on mine looking through the side at the rub rail I have a wave shield).

I you also have the wave shield you may be able to get a long wrench in from the side or fabricate a tool. Getting them back on might be a chore. Or remove the wave shield which is also a chore. Or, cut out a section of the wave shield and pop rivet in an access panel afterwards. Also a chore.

There is a pattern here. Good luck!

Ok I have not done it yet. But I’m betting that you can remove the Aluminum decor panel (the one that sits just below your rub rail) and runs the length of your toon. I have taken that panel off a few time to run wires from the helm to the motor box. It’s not that bad of a job. With that panel removed I bet you can get to the seat
Pedestal nuts on the under side of the floor. This very same job my be in my

He removed the side skirt .

Removing decorative side panels can be a knuckle buster but it is your best option if you have under deck sheeting. Almost all manufacturers have a more serviceable side panel retention method. It involves tiny fasteners on the vertical surface of the panel visible only when one walks up to the boat on the showroom floor. Bennington goes out of their way to remove visible fasteners. The first time I removed the side panel I reworked it to be like the rest of the industry. The return on investment for my effort was immediate.
