Cleaned the toons!

Wow!  Who did it, and what did they charge (if you don't mind my asking)?

That's more than cleaning......

Xtreme Mobile Detailing in Saco Maine. He way under charged me at $400. Im not sure I would get that price out if him again. He spent 3 days making them perfect.

Those look like they are ready to haul Grade A homogenized 2%!

I hope I can get mine even 80% of those. Wow what a great job!

How did they get the toon's that shiny?  Do you know what product/method they used?  That looks awesome!

Looks like a BUNCH of time with a buffing wheel and jewlers rouge or a cutting compound to start then fine polish after that.   Looks great but not a look for me.....way to much upkeep to keep them looking that good.  I pull our boat into the slip and wash the toons down with the garden hose when we get back and they still look pretty good (no rear pronounced water line) for being on their 3rd season.

They used a wheel and polish. Alot of work. Alot of trial to get it just right. I didn't want them to be mirrors.

I have the high speed buffer with a wool bonnet, and it takes rouge to get that mirror of an image.  Polish won't produce such a shine.

Last time I used the buffer on my pontoon, it about wore me out.

I use White Diamond metal polish and a Porter Cable dual action polisher sander with a wool bonnet.  It's much less physical to do the job with a D/A polisher, and the shine's decent enough for the energy expended.f I

If I went the rouge and super shiny route, I'd have to do it over every 30 days to maintain that shine.  I'm only willing to polish my toons once per year--in May.

Nice look! After a month in the lake, mine are showing the effects. I completely wipe all three down, top to bottom and inside and out, each week but with little to show for it.

Awesome.  If you want to keep it close to that shine, you need to sharkhide them.
