Cleaning engine lower unit

Looking for some suggestions for removing water lines/build up from the lower unit. Power washer isn’t enough. Have heard a vinegar and water solution. Any other tips would be very much appreciated.

Hi Kristine welcome to the forum! I have used vinegar/water before with some success. For tougher build up I have used CLR (Calcium, Lime, Rust) You can get it at Walmart, Lowe's, etc......

Hi Kristine! First, great colors! We ordered the same, ocean blue with platinum accent! On my IO's in the past I have used a good cleaner wax with some elbow grease. A little Slimy Grimy for tough spots followed by the wax and they always looked brand new!

Agree with big kahuna. CLR is what I use on my motor

Vinegar and water in a spray bottle (50/50) worked for me.
