Composite spare

Got a 21 SLX w/Yamaha 90. Mostly lakes and safe area, but you never know. My dad always kept a spare plastic prop in the fishing boat even for the kicker, "just in case". What say you all to a plastic composite? Is such a thing even available and now I'm reading about hubs as well? Thanks.

Yes there are composite props

First I've noticed the "Hydrobites". No doubt they improve stiffness and control lateral flow. Wonder what they do to prop drag and cruise economy? Anyone have comparative performance chats?

Ive had composite props. They cost roughly the same as an inexpensive aluminum prop. Ive had somebody bring back my boat with literally NO blades at all on the composite. not sure how they even got back to the ramp or loaded. Id go with aluminum as a spare.
