I have a 2018 Bennington 21SLX pontoon with a Yamaha 115. With 4 adults and 2 kids, it gets up to about 20-21MPH. We're interested in skiing, so we'd like something a little faster. Considering trading up to a 2024 22SVSB SPS tritoon with a Yamaha 150. What could I expect from the tritoon?

I previously had a 23 ft RCW SA ( much heavier ) tri with a wave shield and a 150. I got to about 34 -35 with clean toons , 2 people and a full tank .

I upgraded to a 2024 22 SXSB Tritoon (150 VMax sho) with SPS from my 2019 22 GSR bi-pontoon (115hp) both included Ultra Legs (Sea Legs) adding 400 to 500lbs.
The 150 Yamaha maxed ~37mph at 6,000 rpm’s with half tank of gas, Ultra Legs (~500 lbs) perfect conditions, and one adult.
Last time out I maxed out at 35mph, but the humidity was very high (my understanding is that will impact performance?).
My GSR maxed out at 24 mph. Dealer said upgrade to 200 would add ~4 to 5 mph at additional ~$4k to ~$5k (not sure if that was for VMax or regular Yamaha).

I have the 21LL with a 150 and 4 blade prop. I have been sking since 8 and love to ski the buoys. though a tournament ski boat is unbeatable for skiing I have found out the next best is a my tritoon. Absolutely love sking behind it as do my sking buddies. takes a run or two to get use to the double wake. It's a nice even pull and like a ski boat the stern stays stabilized unlike some bow riders. Also no problem pulling with 4 on board. I'm 6'3" 225 lbs, I get up easy on both my Radar and HO skis
