Corrosion on Aluminum under back Lounger

I'm getting this white furry deposits on the aluminum where the battwry is stored, any one else get this

Do you keep your boat in a slip? Any pitting on your toons ?
 
Nope, boat is on a trailer , only touches water when being used.
There is some surface corrosion on the port tube towards the rear though.
 
If you haven't already, Google, stray current corrosion.
 
Do you have an unsealed battery that you charge in that area? My fishing boat had something similar when I charged the batteries and it seemed the acid / distilled water was high. Just guessing. Maybe put baking soda down on it to neutralize it if related to battery?
 
I do trickle charge the battery occasionally , plus, it's a cheap ass interstate battwry, so you maybe on to something there.
 
And yes, it's a 2023, still under warranty , Dealer is a 3hr round trip though, so I generally try to fix stuff myself.
 
If you put some baking soda on it and it bubbles, it might be a sign of battery acid. Maybe on a test area? Others on this site might have better suggestions.
