Hi, did Sun Country build this trailer, or did they send it to a local mfg in town? I’m looking to add some loading guides to my trailer. We are in Havasu as well.So my custom trailer finally arrived: Dual Axel, dual Hydraulic over Electric Disc brakes, between Toon slanted loading bunks, dual spare tires, gear box, custom ladder. Wow, did the loading bunks make is east to load with some wind! The front tongue weight was over 1,000 lbs, but I had the axels mounted to an adjustable system so on our next visit I will be able to make the needed adjustments with a few hours of work (unbolt, slide, drill new holes, re-bolt - they provided enough brake line to accommodate movement). For around town - absolute overkill - but for long hauls back to California or Lake Powell - and loading in the wind - this will ensure the BEST towing experience possible! It's a beast, no idea yet what it weights. Yes, 10% of the boat price, but less than the engine! : $11K.
I purchased from the Irvine Sun Country, they outsource their trailer builds to a central California builder. The Havasu Sun Country has been terrific with all my maintenance and repairs since, as my Benny lives in Havasu. I suggest checking with them, and / or posting the question in the Boat Havasu FB page. Unfortunately I don't have the measurements of the risers, but I LOVE the combination of the angled risers and end guides - makes trailering in the often windy lake much easier.Hi, did Sun Country build this trailer, or did they send it to a local mfg in town? Fantastic looking trailer. Is it powder coated? Maybe not needed given the size of the beams.I purchased from the Irvine Sun Country, they outsource their trailer builds to a central California builder. No, it was just painted, though it seems to be holding up well. The front ladder with two handles and an extra step has been very convenient. My 26LX was a new model that year, so I had the axles put on a sled system so they could be moved to tune the weight balance. The builder was like, "No, I will get it right." Well, I had to move the axles forward almost 8" to get the right pin weight, and that was with the gas tank full!!Fantastic looking trailer. Is it powder coated?
