Dashboard panel not working

Hello friends. I’m new to Bennington and a relatively novice boater in general. We took the boat out for the first time this spring after reinstalling the battery. The boat fired up beautifully but dashboard control panel (radio, navigation, horn, bilge, etc) was receiving no power. This boat is only one year old and I’m convinced there is something very obvious that I’m overlooking. I’m going to go check the fuse box this morning. It seems strange that it blew a fuse over winter. Perhaps I blew an in-line fuse while reinstalling the battery?
Suggestions?

Have you checked you helm switches and breakers? There are fuses under the helm as well.

Your intuition is correct in that it is probably something that happened when you installed the battery. Check to see if each of the two small wires that goes to the battery got connected. Red to positive, black to negative.

I suspect the in line fuse attached to the positive battery post flipped when I hooked up the battery. I’m going to go check it out.

Thank you!

After checking breaker buttons on dash as Jack suggested, then double check battery wiring*. If that is 100% good, move on to checking fuses. I think that is a good sequence working from easiest to more involved initially.

* Dual batteries? We missed connecting the negative wire between our dual batteries once, and lost some gauge functionality. Took us awhile to figure it out. That aside, if any of the handful of wires that gets connected to the batteries is not connected, it can through of something. So check those wires as well to make sure you didn’t miss anything. Whatever is going on, it seems like it should be related to some aspect of that battery switch. I suspect once you find what it is, it will be basic. Just a matter of finding it.

Awesome! Glad to hear it was a quick fix!

Same. Just brought new boat home — pulled it three hours yesterday. Today we decide to check out stereo system (haven’t put in water yet) and oh my, no power. Pushed little black buttons, (which seem like just a button and don’t click or do anything) checked battery connections, but still not working. Lights on dash illuminated at some point (two are blinking) and some not working and no power to stereo or depth finder / gps. Anything else? Did a wire bounce loose on the drive? Where is the fuse box? Seen a vid that was under trash can but ours is on opposite side (port). So underneath cabinet I’m guessing? Could it be a blown fuse when it hasn’t been ran. And two new batteries also! What am I missing?

Wait just read a fuse had to be reset? How do you reset a fuse???

Do you have rocker or push button switches? Push button should light up .Those small buttons are circuit breakers.

If you had two new batteries put in, then I am thinking battery wires not connected properly or fuse. I would think it’s one of those, especially since you already pushed the circuit breaker reset buttons on the dash.

Push buttons. Lit blue and two blinking a little. Only button that turns green is the red/green light button, exterior back light, dock, stereo, GPS & depth finder do not turn on. Prolly another also.
Yep, the small breaker buttons — I wish they clicked like home breakers so you know it’s all the way on, or in this case, working.
It’s an RC25.

The switches should not be blinking . Have you checked under your helm for a loose wire ?

Wow, dealer said it’s probably the switches as there’s been some issues with them. He’s sending to us. Who knew?!

What year did you get ? 25,26 ?

Actually 2023. My entire family died (5) parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister in 1 year & 1 month so it took all my time…anyway the dealer has been storing for us. It only has 1 hour on it. We ordered it with all the upgrades and it’s gorgeous! We wanted to use it for the first time this Easter weekend and wouldn’tIMG_3442.jpeg you know it—faulty switches!

Im sorry to hear about your family .
