Delays in Yamaha 90 HP Motors

I ordered a Bennington Pontoon in July. The dealer picked it up in early Nov but there is no word on the Yahama 90 motor. Does anyone know why there is such a delay in the mfg/availability of this particular Yamaha motor?

No idea, unless COVID has altered the balance of supply and demand. But in the midst of disappointment and frustration, you can often find opportunity. If that 90-horse doesn't arrive soon, I would approach the dealer about putting a 115 on your rig for the same price in order to close the deal sooner, assuming one of those is available, your boat is rated for it, and you can enjoy your boat in the winter. Never hurts to ask, unless you just really want a 90.
