Here is my solution for easy loading even in wind! Benny has no choice but to center on trailer, and cushioned sleeves over PVC protect all boat surfaces. The trailering guide brands are Veve and Extreme Max. These have welded reinforcements at bend and are heavier 14 gauge. Didn't order them galvanized as we only boat in fresh water. I will eventually paint them black with Rust-o-leum or similar coating to match trailer. There are cheaper ones marketed but they will bend easier if you run into them while loading. Haven't seen anyone point and laugh at "the old guy with gazillion guides" yet. If it makes life easier, why the heck not go for it. Just can't have bumpers out while loading or unloading.
