Exchanging unused rocker switch

I am installing a power Bimini on my 2015 G22. It is controlled by its own rocker switch that came with it. It’s a contact switch that needs to be held down to operate it, different than the on / off switches. Can I just swap one of my unused ACC switches for the new one?

If you mean take out the existing ACC switch and install the Biminii switch, then maybe. The Bimini may require more power than the ACC is meant to deliver, so both the switch and the power/fuse source must be the correct capacity. Much like a high-draw sound system, it may require it's own power source from a main supple not just a tap off the existing fuse panel. Are the switch sizes and mounting style the same?

The switch for the Bimini w8ll have it’s own power supply from a dedicated battery and through a relay.
