Who has this and how well do you like or dislike it? The standard chair fits me just fine but after some test drives in the wide chair it seems to be a little more comfy but takes up some walkway space.

I have the Captain & Co-Captain . Glad we got them, the  extra room is nice to have

I sat in a couple at the Nashville Boat Show last week and these seemed to have allot of play(side to side ) I didn't care for them but I got lost in them also.

I've noticed the same thing sitting in them. They seem more comfy just sitting there but I don't care for the play in them and are more bulky turning around in them depending on how close to the dash you have it. I have it priced in our build but I'm rethinking it now.

Mine get "some play " in them at times ,I just reach underneath and tighten them .

That's good to know. I think we're just going with the standard width, the wife doesn't like the wide one and I want her to be comfy whenever she wants to drive.

We have the extra wide on our Q our other boat is a 2005 R and it has the normal sized drivers seat it feels like your sitting on a bucket compared to the huge extra wide in our Q lol

I ended up going with the extra wide once we got to the dealership to place our order Saturday. He had a couple of boats with the standard seat and I could tell that even though I didn't need the extra width it just wasn't as comfy as the ones I had sat in with the extra wide.

This is actually a funny topic for the wife and I. Our friend and his new "girlfriend" said "they" were in the market for a pontoon boat. This was a surprise to me because my friend has a Older beat down suntracker that he is quite happy with. He is just a simple guy, and he is not the kind of guy that even covers his boat or invest in it, Plus he is "quite frugal" and I can't see him spending a dime on anything new and expensive like a Bennington, he is a great guy but his lifestyle is just way more layed back and don't give a dam type. He has dogs and collage kids that are thrashers so it makes perfect sence to me that what he has now does a great job for him and his lifestyle.

well his sun tracker has this Ghetto bench seat at the drivers helm. It's one of the old school bench seats the the back rest flip flops so you can sit forwards or backwards,  It's actually pretty useful and 2 people can sit side by side pretty easy but in no way is it the quality or comfort of even the lowest model bennington chair. It's about as comfortable as s park bench with a towel on it. :)

Well the happy couple go's boat shopping.

They come back to report they decided  to Not get a new Bennington because they could not get one with a "bench seat" like he has in his 1980's Suntracker!!!! LOL LOL

the truth is my buddy is perfectly happy with his current (well used) pontoon boat and has Zero intention of getting a new boat. But the "girlfriend" has to keep up with the Jones and forces the poor guy to go play pontoon boat shopping, So he plays the game ok let's go look at getting a new boat to make the girlfrind feel good. :)  I bet my buddy was sweating his a$$ off that he was gonna get worked into some deal  to have to buy some new pontoon boat at the dealer, and when the dealer told him sorry "No drivers side bench seat available"  he was secretly inside saying (OMG THANK YOU BABY JEASUS) you just saved me thousands.

The happy couple returns to report to us that they went shopping for a pontoon boat but they just could not find a bennington with the options they needed so they were just gonna stick with what they had. Bhuhahahahaaaaaa, that's right they could not find a bennington that fit their high standards so no deal, lol lol X 1,000

the wife and I sit together in our Xtra large captains chair quite comfortably all the time and when we do we can't help but remember our friends shopping story lol lol,

Truthfully, I can see the next "tap in" market for Bennington, being a center console with the exact type of seat you describe. Especially if it were offered in a fishing model. Our dealer has another lower entry brand, with a center console fishing model with a "T-Top" and flip/flop. It's actually pretty cool. Definitely not Bennington level type toon, but easily Benningtons next market to grab hold of.

This is my extra-wide helm chair at my non-elevated G helm. After three years I wouldn't have it any other way. In the second picture you can see that it really doesn't hamper traffic past the helm. I paired it with the Co-Captains Lounge that You don't seem to see much of but I like it a lot, too!

I haven't been on here in a while. Good to see a few familiar faces.

Nice!! That co captains lounge was a must have for my wife. Can't wait to see our boat!

How do you like the stern lounge upgrade? Do you tend to use it for sitting purposes or just looks/speakers?

The stern lounge upgrade has been a "no regrets" option. I like the ability to sit facing forward or lounging backwards and the added speakers really fill the whole boat with sound.

If you're extra tall you may have other thoughts though. I'm 5' 10" and have no problems stretching out an relaxing.

So far, the only regrets I have after three years is the carpet, next boat will have none or perhaps snap-in. It's holding up fine but does require a lot of maintenance to keep the nap standing up.

Yeah, carpet was a definite no no on the new boat. As stated, it looks good, but a pain to take care off. Especially when it would get soaked after heavy rains (even though it was covered). Our new boat had a few MUST HAVES. Elevated helm, sea grass, rear facing loungers and co captains lounge. All the other added bling was just our budget busters ...  :D
