flashing Icon on dash and major speed slow down

I have a little flashing icon on the left bottom side of hour meter. It flashes on 2 seconds off 2 seconds the entire time the motor is running. The boat also just recently went from running 38mph to 22 max. Motor seems to be running smooth as glass and toons are clean and bright. Prop is not spun and everything looks in order. Any ideas on flashing icon and on speed issue

I believe the flashing icon to left of the hour meter simply means the meter is functioning. Can’t help you with that big a decrease in speed, hopefully someone else will come on board. Welcome to the forum Bub.

No idea what the flashing means but tell us what engine you have hanging off the back so we can help you narrow it down.

What are you using to record your speed? The flashing hourglass is normal.

Speed is really irrelevant and can vary widely depending on all sorts of things. Did you lose a bunch of RPM's?
