When we had new carpet made we decided to cover over the floor mounted table mount. Well it was bugging me cause you could see the mount was sticking up a bit and when you walked past it you could feel it under foot I thought it would eventually wear a pattern in & around the carpet. Old school guys will like this analogy “ Kind of like how your wallet wears a pattern around your back pocket on your jeans.. Well we can’t have that. The mount sticks up about 1/4inch above the floor. I started by cutting by hand the Vinyl flooring and exposing the Plywood floor. Then I used a trim router hooked up to my vac & just routerd out the floor. The Mount sits flush now and feels great under the carpet can’t even tell what’s underneath. I’m gonna take the Mount back out and use some Epoxy to cover & waterproof the newly exposed section. My boats never in the rain but so what. Only gonna take 30 mins
