Fuel tank sending unit

Greetings all,

I have a feeling that the sending unit in the fuel tank on my 2006 2050RL has given up the fight. Visual inspection of the tank shows about half a tank but the gauge reads almost empty. I want to try replacing it myself but am having a hard time finding out what size (length) it is to make sure I get the right one. The original part number for my 26 gallon tank is 003973. I’m pretty sure I can find a replacement on Amazon that will work if I get the right one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks fellow boaters!

Take the sending unit out and measure the lenght of the "mast", they come in standard lenghts, just find the one that matches yours. I assume you have the reed style unit with the sliding donut and not the old style swing arm.
